Rachel & Frank are such a cute couple and a real joy to be around. Their engagement photo session had to be rescheduled on two occasions because of cold and rainy weather and when we finally shot, it was 105 degrees out! We should have known that it was a precursor for their wedding day which also hit record highs for temperature.

The photography was so fun and unique as Frank has a love and appreciation for the Japanese culture, which we were able to incorporate in the wedding photos. The groomsmen got ready at Yuki Sushi and we got some great pictures with them posing with large knifes . . . and on a softer note, they used personalized chopsticks for wedding favors.

The uniqueness of the theme and the crazy dancing at the reception made for a truly original and spectacular party.

I have been dying to blog about Jennifer & Dan’s engagement session for a REALLY long time now. It’s ridiculous just how far behind I’ve gotten on my blog!! Well … no more. I vow to get caught up and blog about all the amazing fall weddings, portrait sessions, and parties I’ve been shooting … And to kick things off, here’s just a few of my many favorites from Jennifer & Dan’s e-session. We started off in Capitola (my all time favorite spot to escape from everything when I need to get away), and ended at a nearby beach in Santa Cruz. We really had a blast … talking, laughing, hanging out. And I think that’s a big part of the reason why I love these photos so much. Hope you enjoy!!
