Maria and Drew were married at the beautiful Villa Montalvo over 4th of July weekend. I really admire Maria for putting together such a beautiful wedding. Not only is she in med school full time, but both she & Drew live in Pennsylvania. It’s such a challenge planning a wedding long distance!

I also had the opportunity to work that day with one of my favorite videographers, Oren from AwesomeShot Studios.    Be sure to check out the beautiful highlights video Oren put together.

Maria’s friend made their wedding cake as her gift to them. She had never made a wedding cake before! She did an amazing job … not only did it look beautiful, but tasted great, too!

During one of our conversations leading up to their wedding, Jenne had mentioned that her mom didn’t want her portraits taken before the ceremony because she didn’t want to melt in the heat. Instead, she’d rather wait at the Corinthian  in the air conditioning.  At the time, we laughed, thought it was cute, and decided to just do Jenne & Jeff’s portraits and the bridal party portraits before the ceremony. Well, as luck would have it, their wedding was on that really hot saturday in June when it hit 102! Jenne’s mom had the last laugh after all as all of us melted in the heat as we walked around downtown San Jose for an hour!   But despite the heat, we had a blast.

Rebecca & Mike were married last month in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. They lucked out with perfect weather that day! Here are a few of my favorite shots from their wedding …

A couple of days after shooting Rachel and Frank’s engagement session, I was off to San Francisco for Jenne and Jeff’s session.  It was so wild to go from shooting in 100 degree heat to 50 and windy!   But despite the chilly weather, and the fog, we were determined to make the best of it, and had a blast going around San Francisco.  Our only disappointment for the day was arriving at Baker Beach and finding the bridge completely covered in fog.  By that point, all we could do was laugh, and make the best of it.  We actually got my favorite shots of the day at the barracks behind the beach, so it ended up working out great.
