January 31, 2009

I am really excited to announce the very talented  Auey Santos as my new associate photographer.    She’s been second shooting for me for several years and I’ve been thrilled with the work she has done.   She is tons of fun & has a passion for weddings.

We are now accepting bookings for 2009 & 2010 weddings with Auey.  Call or email us at  info@claudiaakersphotography.com  for more info!

Be sure to check out our website for more samples of Auey’s work.  Here’s just a few of my favorites …

E-mail Troubles …

January 29, 2009

Computers … they’re meant to make our lives easier … or are they?  Sometimes, things can go really really wrong.   Unfortunately, I discovered today that the contact form on my website has been down for what I’m guessing has been about 3 weeks!  We’re working hard to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

I’m painfully aware that perhaps a few of you out there may have sent me an e-mail via my contact form, and you never got a reply.  I promise, I wasn’t ignoring any one!   If this happened to you, I truly apologize, and hope you’ll re-send your e-mail directly to:  info@claudiaakersphotography.com

Promo Video!

January 7, 2009

When Andrew of Studio MSV & I spoke about doing a promo video for me, I was a little hesitant, to say the least. I really don’t like being in front of the camera (ironic, isn’t it?), and I really can’t stand the sound of my voice. Two major roadblocks in creating a promo video! Finally I posed Andrew the challenge: only if I don’t appear anywhere in the video. As crazy as this sounded, we set out with a plan. It would be a testimonial video, featuring clients of mine. Three of my fabulous couples agreed to be interviewed and under Andrew’s guidance we set out to film. Well, one thing led to another and before I knew it, we decided to film a photo shoot, as well. I was absolutely terrified of being on camera!  But Andrew was great!   He really set me at ease, and before I knew it, I had completely forgotten about the camera.

In the end, we ended up with two videos. The original testimonial video is posted on my About page.  Here’s the fabulous short version he put together:
