Ceremony & Reception:  The Tollhouse Hotel
Floral Design: Nicole Ha Designs
DJ: Los Gatos DJ
Cake: Not Just Cheesecake

I just absolutely love Wendy’s vintage styled wedding! She really put so much time and effort into all the little details … from the old lace hankies for the ladies to use for the ceremony, to the old suitcases, to the antique china cups & mason jars for the florals … the list just goes on and on! It was so hard to narrow things down for this blog post. Here’s just a few of my many favorites …

Julie & Cliff Robertson: Absolutely beautiful pictures of a beautiful couple. These look like they should be in a bridal magazine. So lovely.

Rekha & Jaison: Married!

July 12, 2010

April 24, 2010

Ceremony: United Methodist Church
Reception: Hyatt Regency
Hair & Makeup: WowPretty
Videography: Metmedia Video
Floral Design: Asiel Design
Lighting & Draping: Enhanced Lighting
DJ: Spintronix

I just love Rekha & Jaison’s story.  Rekha lived in Canada … Jaison in the East Bay.  They met a couple of years ago while Rekha was visiting her sister, who also lives in Fremont. It was love at first sight, and they immediately started a long distance relationship.  Hundreds of phone calls, letters, and emails later …  they got engaged & started planning their wedding.  A week before their wedding Rekha’s visa was finally approved, and she was able to fly down for their engagement session & finish planning their wedding!  Despite doing everything from afar, they put together an amazing wedding!

This was the first Upanayana ceremony I’ve been asked to photograph. Even though I didn’t know quite what to expect, I was very excited about the opportunity. I was assured it was very similar to a Hindu wedding … the main difference being there’s a boy in place of the bride and groom. No problem, then! Having photographed Hindu weddings in the past, that gave me a good idea of what to expect.   I learned that an Upanayana is a rite of passage for a little boy. He stops being a carefree child and becomes a boy who must now focus on his studies.   In ancient times, the boys would leave their parents home and go live at the teachers house to study.

I just love Viona & Fransisco! They totally rocked their engagement session. We ended up spending a whole day together going around San Francisco and Golden Gate Park. I can’t wait for their wedding this September, in Half Moon Bay. Here are just a few of my many favorites from our day together!

Marina + Mike: engaged!

June 30, 2010

I think I can sum up Marina & Mike’s engagement session in one word: FUN!! Never a dull moment, these two truly kept me on my toes throughout the day we spent together in San Francisco. From running and rolling around on the beach to playing around Crissy Field to getting lost in the Presidio and then stumbling upon a great spot for photos, it was non-stop all day long. I just love their energy and can’t wait for their wedding!!
